On October 2, the results of the research project on the role of the House of Orange-Nassau in the Dutch colonial history will be presented to King Willem-Alexander. NOS Television will broadcast the presentation of the research results live on NPO1 from 11.15 AM to 12.30 PM.

KITLV has contributed to the project with two books: European monarchs & colonialism, edited by Gert Oostindie and Karwan Fatah-Black (KITLV / Leiden University) as well as Schaduwen van de Oranjezon: De koloniale geschiedenis van het Huis Oranje-Nassau/In the shadow of the orange sun: A decolonial approach to the Dutch monarchy (translation forthcoming), edited by Guno Jones and Esther Captain (KITLV).
