On Thursday 12 March 2026 Francio Guadeloupe, who is appointed as Professor by Special Appointment of Public Anthropology of Kingdom Relations at the University of Amsterdam,  on behalf of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), will deliver his inaugural lecture titled: 'Weaving Dutch Caribbean studies: Anthropological research of the Kingdom of the Netherlands'.

The inaugural lecture will take place at 16.30 PM in the Aula of  the University of Amsterdam, Singel 411, Amsterdam. 

The Rector Magnificus of the University of Amsterdam, Professor Peter-Paul Verbeek, invites scholars and interested parties to attend this ceremony. If you cannot be present, you can view the livestream here.
